Krista Alderdice

Having a father in the military, Krista’s childhood was spent in locations spanning England, Mississippi, and Georgia, before she landed back in Vermont, where she was born. After graduating from Mt. Mansfield Union High, she went on to Champlain College, earning a degree in Communications / Public Relations. She went on to start her own business, owning and managing an equine boarding facility and riding lesson program for ten years.

She’s married to her high school sweetheart, Guy, and has two amazing sons. As their children grew older, she decided to join the family business, where she handles the day-to-day operations at Ascutney Financial Group. Krista enjoys family time, ultrarunning, exploring the mountains in New England, and caring for her animals on the farm. She is also a columnist for Ultrarunning Magazine, sharing the stories of runners from all over the US. In addition, she volunteers for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a nonprofit organization in Vermont.
