Guy moved to Vermont at the age of two, and found his comfort and home in the Green Mountain state. After graduating from Mount Mansfield Union High School, he went on to attend Champlain College, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. A few years later, in the summer of 2000, after successfully passing his Series 7, Series 66 and Life & Health license tests, he began his career in financial services. For the past 22 years, Guy has worked closely with his clients, pairing up his financial expertise with each of their unique needs. For 14 years, he served as an onsite retirement counselor at six hospitals throughout Vermont and New Hampshire, helping employees understand their retirement plan options. His roles also included helping his clients build successful retirement planning strategies, understanding risk management, designing asset allocation models, and knowing the rules and tax implications of various retirement accounts. In July of 2019, Guy founded Ascutney Financial Group. After nearly two decades of working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, he decided to narrow the focus of his practice to retirees, or folks right on the verge of retiring. His process includes spending the necessary time upfront with clients, making sure he gets a clear understanding of where they currently are, and what they are trying to accomplish.

Outside of work, Guy enjoys spending time at home with his family and animals. He married his high school sweetheart Krista in 1998, and they have two teenage sons, Justin and Jase, and their beloved chihuahua, Alba. They also run a small farm of donkeys, goats, and chickens. Guy is an avid ultra runner and mountain lover. He has completed many 100-mile endurance races and has hiked hundreds of miles in the White Mountains in all four seasons. In addition, he enjoys coaching youth basketball and baseball and volunteering for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a nonprofit organization in Vermont.
